The Columbia United FC Board of Directors will hold the 2007 Annual General Membership Meeting on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, beginning at 7:00 pm in the Nelson Mullins Community Room, 17th Floor, Meridian Building, 1320 Main Street, Columbia (click Directions for map and directions).

 

We have had an incredible first year operating as a new club and our successes on the field and within the club prove that we are achieving our goal of creating the finest youth soccer club in South Carolina. As we make plans for next year, we would like to share with you our successes and challenges for the future.

 

To celebrate our success, the Board asks that you join them for a Welcome Reception of light refreshments and informal conversation starting at 6:30 pm. The Annual General Membership Meeting will follow immediately thereafter.  The order of business will include the “State of the Club” message by Board President, Ron Tryon, and elections for 3 board positions. Click to see the full agenda.

 

The 3 open board positions are Vice President, Events Officer and Compliance Officer. These positions are currently being held by Lynn Holmes (Vice President), Steve Birnie (Events Officer) and Sammy Mokeba (Compliance Officer), who are all seeking re-election. If anyone is interested in running for these positions we ask that you follow the guidelines below, as written in the Bylaws, to insure that your nomination is received in the appropriate timeframe and in the appropriate manner:
